You are invited to join Doughty Street Chambers Climate and Environmental Justice Team and The Sabin Centre on Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School for a Webinar to discuss the Advisory Opinions on climate change before the ICJ, IACtHR and ITLOS.

Harj Narulla will chair a discussion with four leading experts in climate law and public international law on the highly consequential Advisory Opinions on climate change currently before the International Court of Justice, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. Panellists will consider the Advisory Opinions individually and collectively, and reflect on the ways in which they will frame climate litigation in domestic and international fora in coming years.
Each expert has been closely involved in the ongoing cases. Harj Narulla is instructed and working across each of the three Advisory Opinions. Professor Angelet was instructed by the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the Advisory Opinion proceedings on climate change before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. Eran was instructed in the same case by the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, and Maria Antonia is an expert in climate change litigation, and has published widely on the Advisory Opinions, with a particular focus on the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
